OPD/OSD Teachers Firearm Safety Course, Session 1

The Ogden Police Department, in conjunction with the Ogden School District, is offering a 16-hour Teachers Firearm Safety course delivered by SRW, Inc., a renowned training company.  The course consists of 16 hours of training, including classroom instruction, live firing, and practical exercises.  Teachers must complete all 16 hours in order to receive the end-of-course certificate.  Teachers who do not have firearms or gear may utilize loaner equipment from SRW, Inc., but must purchase ammunition. SRW, Inc. recommends teachers without guns or gear NOT go out and purchase specifically for this course unless the teacher is comfortable they truly understand what they need. Once a teacher registers, further information and instructions will be sent out to each registrant.  Teachers are always welcome to email randy@srwsplops.com for info, advice, or suggestions.

If you do not have specific equipment for the training, DON’T go out and buy without talking to us first about what to buy and where to buy it. We also have complete range kits for you to use for the training AT NO COST. No steel jacket or steel core bullets on the range. If you have problems getting ammunition for the course, it will be available on the range, email us for ammo prices. All courses are subject to minimum student number requirements and will be canceled one week prior to the course start if minimum numbers are not reached.
